Warehouse QC - Audit Clerk Apparel

Location:Cincinnati, OH
Salary Range:$10.00 - $12.50/hr depending on experience

Description:The Warehouse Quality Control Audit Clerk works with the Quality Control Department to perform routine audits and inspections of finished goods; primarily uniforms for police, fire and military agencies, to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specifications. Also performs audits and inspections of product count, trims, packaging, labeling, and warehouse shipping and handling methods in compliance with company and customer guidelines and requirements.

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. or as needed to meet business goals and objectives

Duties:Essential Duties including but not limited to:
. Make approval and rejection decisons for questionable and obvious product defects
. Perform measurement and workmanship audits; verify material, trim and construction are compliant with specifications
. See gradients of color, tone, hue and minor flaws in fabric and textiles
. Communicate and document issues or developments identified during quality control activities
. Maintain detailed records accurately and concurrently with procedures
. Establishes continuity with regard to product, packaging, labeling standards for all contractors
. Communicate all relevant issues on audit findings in a timely manner
. Evaluate pre-production samples to specifications
. Perform routine audits/inspections while maintaining rigid shipping schedules
Qualifications:. More than two (2) years quality control and detailed inspections in the apparel industry highly preferred
. Ability to read and comprehend product specifications
. Technical skills: Have a working knowledge of fabric defects, garment construction, labeling and measuring
. Basic computer skills on MS Windows operating system and ability to use other Microsoft Software; Word, Excel and Outlook
. Superior English verbal, written and telephone communication skills
. Critical thinking: ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and production schedules
. Capacity to work independently or within a team environment, follow direction, trouble shoot and meet goals and objectives
. Hands on experience in one or more categories: apparel, outerwear, suit coats and uniforms
. Extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and continuous lifting/carrying of 25 lbs. or more up to 50 lbs.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree or Continuing Education highly desirable
